The Con...er...Dragoncon...Day 1
Got to Atlanta...
...and got to our hotel (the Marriott Marquis), and got to our room. WOW! THANK YOU MARRIOTT!
On the way up to the 47th (top) floor, there was an older guy in the elevator, who announced as the doors opened up "Going up!". We got on the elevator...and it wasn't until he got off on the 43rd floor (I think) that we realized who it was we had just ridden up with: Gil Gerard, from "Buck Rogers". COOL!

Just another night with the Marlins...*yawn*
So my company had a family night at the Marlins vs. Braves game last night...
...but seeing the moon rising over the world's largest HDTV...that was pretty nice...

I have my own theory...
...maybe it's because men, compared to women, have a higher tendency to be color blind for red/green and thus react to blues because they can't see reds/purples?!? I know the wife would agree with that!

Cue the mad scientist movie music, STAT!
Does this worry anyone else besides me?

Key quote:
"When these things are created, they're going to be so weak, it'll be a huge achievement if you can keep them alive for an hour in the lab," he said. "But them getting out and taking over, never in our imagination could this happen."I don't know about you, but I'm going to get my zombie plan ready now!

Finally finished Harry Potter 7...
...most excellent. Kudos to Rowling, who has come a long way and lit up the wonders of reading to millions again...
If you haven't read the book, get it now and start reading!
(If you need the rest of the books, look no further, this is an excellent deal.)

If you build it...he will...be forced to live in it.
Okay, the cage is done! We had to buy some more materials, specifically:
2 2x4s
2 thinner pieces of wood (bracing for top and inner shelves)
6 casters (2 that lock)
1 extra pack of cable ties
1 set of wood screws
8 wood braces
8 connectors (sorry, I forget what they're called, but we needed 'em to connect the cage to the wheel frame)
In the end:
This cost us about $100 to build, and about 3-4 hours effort. It's very sturdy, and can be moved around easily, has two large doors, and carpet flooring that can be removed easily if needed.

Build it yerself!
Okay, the rabbit's still with us. Er, I mean that we decided to keep Harvey. The wife and kids are attached, and Harvey's been, well, a good rabbit. Well behaved, doesn't poop or pee when we let him into the house, and actually has a playful personality, chasing us around and more...
The bit problem is that his digs were small...he could barely stretch out in the earlier cage. So we decided to do better. And, courtesy of the magix of the interwebs, we found some cool instructions for how to make your own, and do it rather cheaply!
So we started with this:
And built this (it's not complete yet):

Save your soul...virtually!
Yep, you can't escape the church...
...but you can have some fun (*wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*) in Second Life...

Needs to win me the lottery!
The first space hotel is coming!
I wonder if they'll award frequent stay points for every dollar I'd spend...and if there would be a gift shop...atleast there's this:

Galactic Suite said the price included not only three nights in space. Guests also get eight weeks of intensive training at a James Bond-style space camp on a tropical island.
No, I don't think...
...this review uses the word **** enough, even though the point is thoroughly understood and agreed with.
