Final views of Philly...
A very, very short visit to one of our most historic cities...so let's get some final views in...
I admit, I didn't get to turn in to AM 1650 to hear this, but I bet it went something like this:
CRAB
Boy, I know I used to be the ugliest thing around...but then YOU came along...
HELEMENT
(Radiator bursts and Helement falls completely apart.)
A green bridge, reminiscent of the Golden Gate Bridge, although it's not as large, not rust-orange in color, and, sadly, connects to New Jersey.

Hard Rock Cafe - Philadelphia! (#24 in the World Tour)
New city. New Hard Rock Cafe opportunity!
Continuining the quest that I started in 1988, Philadelphia gave me the chance to visit my 24th Hard Rock Cafe! Woohoo!
And, in order to visit the HRC...I had to park in a parking garage...which had the "World's Smallest Elevator Meant For Human Use™". One person with two bags of groceries is about all that would fit in this thing. Not for claustrophobics!
Philadelphia freedom...
My only night to 'look around' Philadelphia, as I'm flying out tomorrow night (a very very short trip). Since I'm staying north of downtown Philly...I decided to take the LONG SCENIC route to get there...

Okay, flying out of MIA THIS time was worth it...
Going to Philadelphia today, and had to fly out of what Dave Barry calls "Miami Internation Airport Permanent Construction Zone" (MIAPCZ). I hate flying out of MIAPCZ...but I'm glad I did this time.
A small radio tower west of the airport that looks like something out of Contact. This is just west of a geocache that I've done before.

No joke! Sitting here watching the news while waiting for my Philadelphia flight at MIA, and a fire broke out in the ceiling at HN. Likely just a light that caught fire.
Best reality TV ever.

Attack...of the FedEx trucks!
Living up to my word
Remember this? Well, I still stand by what I said. Brokeback Mountain DIDN'T win best picture...but did get Best Director. It did a little better than I expected...but not much more.

How the other half lives
My uncle purchased a rather...large...boat (yacht, you idiot, YACHT) a couple of weeks ago, and we had the opportunity to take a small ride in it across Biscayne Bay.
And, from the downstairs bridge, the video screen showing you the engine room!
(Picture Scotty talking back to Kirk: "If I stress the engines any more, Cap'n, they'll blow!")

"Mystery Box du jour"
We've been trying to figure out this box near a traffic signal in our neighborhood. The panel has been off for awhile, the bottom shelf are car batteries and the top shelf has a piece of electronic equipment that has XM on it and an LCD display. The XM LOOKS like it's related to XM radio...but we're not sure. NOTE: It's definately not the traffic signal light, which is a separate box much farther away from this one.The mystery deepens...
