4 8 15 16 23 42: Ya gotta love Lost!

Who else would whet your appetite with this?

Read up more here.

Some wonder why...

It amazes me that some people wonder why Song Airlines didn't make it. Well, I enjoyed flying them, with the satellite tv/video in each seat, games, music library, etc. However, their choice of interior colors...well...left a lot to be desired (especially on red-eye flights...):

La Jolla, CA...one of my favorite spots to visit!

It's been awhile since I visited...and boy is it still nice!

Go see the seal colony, which apparently has taken over this cove year-round...

One of the neater seals...asleep...

...and another beautiful sunset over the Pacific!

YAHR*

*sigh*

* Yet Another Hotel Room

San Diego, here I come!

I find it very, very wrong that my development gets slammed by Hurricane Wilma, yet this trailer park has nary a scratch...well...nothing really devestating like our development.

Cool! We have a chase plane of our own!

The mountains and hills of Southern California...

Hey, look out there! It's Mexico!

...and, finally, heeeeelllllllooooooo San Diego!

(Boy was that a long flight!)

What to do after you come home from a trip...

...and are about to go on another one?

HOCKEY!

Team captain Olli Jokinen gets ready to take control of the pre-game skate warmups...

Jokinen and backup goaltie McLennan watch as Luongo prepares to warm up.

Tie game! Time for a shoot out!

Luongo saves!

Panthers made this goal and won!

Final views of Philly...

A very, very short visit to one of our most historic cities...so let's get some final views in...

I admit, I didn't get to turn in to AM 1650 to hear this, but I bet it went something like this:

CRAB
Boy, I know I used to be the ugliest thing around...but then YOU came along...

HELEMENT
(Radiator bursts and Helement falls completely apart.)

A beatiful, if backlit, view of the Philadelphia skyline...

A green bridge, reminiscent of the Golden Gate Bridge, although it's not as large, not rust-orange in color, and, sadly, connects to New Jersey.

I-95 South! If I don't find the airport, I can stay on THIS all the way down to South Florida!

Tunnels. Something we have almost none of in South Florida.

Lincoln Financial Field.
(Hmmm...did the Eagles win the Super Bowl this yea...um...scratch that.)

The Wachovia Center...where the Philadelphia Flyers play.
Booooooooooooooooooooooo.

Hard Rock Cafe - Philadelphia! (#24 in the World Tour)

New city. New Hard Rock Cafe opportunity!

Continuining the quest that I started in 1988, Philadelphia gave me the chance to visit my 24th Hard Rock Cafe! Woohoo!

The outside of the Hard Rock Cafe - Philadelphia

Mmm...grilled chicken sandwich...with sweet potato fries!

Great ceiling mural! With a nice Pink Floyd reference!

Looking down the street from the HRC, taken from across the street from the HRC.

And, in order to visit the HRC...I had to park in a parking garage...which had the "World's Smallest Elevator Meant For Human Use™". One person with two bags of groceries is about all that would fit in this thing. Not for claustrophobics!

Philadelphia freedom...

My only night to 'look around' Philadelphia, as I'm flying out tomorrow night (a very very short trip). Since I'm staying north of downtown Philly...I decided to take the LONG SCENIC route to get there...

Looking down Broad Street, getting near downtown!

BLURRRRRYYYYY photo of a neat tunnel with neat neon lights pulsating through it. It was for a conference center of some sort...

Sunrise in a new city...

The view over Willow Grove, Pennsylvania is rather pretty this morning...

Okay, flying out of MIA THIS time was worth it...

Going to Philadelphia today, and had to fly out of what Dave Barry calls "Miami Internation Airport Permanent Construction Zone" (MIAPCZ). I hate flying out of MIAPCZ...but I'm glad I did this time.

A small radio tower west of the airport that looks like something out of Contact. This is just west of a geocache that I've done before.

Hey...my house is down there!

Hey, there's my neighborhood! And one of those blue roofs is mine! It should be noted that a fair portion of my development has blue roofs, whereas many houses AROUND our development do not. Look at the previous photo for a comparision of the area around our development.

Goodbye, U.S.A.!

Hello, Freeport, Bahamas!

Fire in the studio at Headline News!

No joke! Sitting here watching the news while waiting for my Philadelphia flight at MIA, and a fire broke out in the ceiling at HN. Likely just a light that caught fire.

Best reality TV ever.

Well, atleast they waited SIX days!

CHA-CHING! 4 cents more!

Mas hockey

There's just something interesting about going to see ice hockey in warm South Florida...

Beautiful, warm sunsets....

Nice, cool air conditioning...

Fun player intros...

But...what's least interesting...is being smited by the opposing team...(0-4 shutout tonight...grrrr).

Yikes! *SPITS COFFEE OUT*

An 18 cent jump in two days??!!

Fire! Fire! The trees are on fire!

Note the two fire engines fighting the fire. They're two different colors, coming from two different counties, which is interesting as we're easily over 5 miles into one of the two counties, who should have been able to provide all their own support in fighting this fire...

Remember...

If you see people with BLUE bands...those are for colon cancer awareness...get checked!

Suite Hockey!

Or, rather, hockey from the suite level...great game, which we did win. It was good to be back after missing games the last few months!

Attack...of the FedEx trucks!

About 10-15 FedEx trucks were turning at this light...I think it's part of an evil plot (unfortunately, not mine). It couldn't have anything to do with the FedEx delivery center that's down the street. Nope, too obvious...

Getting high(er)

Uh-oh...the trend reverseth...
