I saw Rachel Blake!

And you can, too, from the same spot I saw her!

(To understand this, check out The Lost Experience Clues blog)

I want to be a part of it, New York, NEW YORK!

Woo-hoo!
Woo-Hoo!
WOO-Hoo!
WOO-HOO!
WOO-HOO!!
WoO-hOo!!

The long awaited trip to New York City has finally arrived! David Gilmour in Concert, on his opening night of his U.S. tour at Radio City Music Hall, is just two days away...and we're going to BE THERE! AWESOME!

Radio City Music Hall! Just two blocks away from our hotel (The Warwick)! COOL!

The concert poster! I want one! SOLD OUT! Yeah, baby!

Rockefeller Center!

Pink Floyd mask from "The Wall" movie at the Hard Rock Cafe on Broadway!

A solid wall of guitars at the Hard Rock!

Me, on Broadway!

Hey...that looks rather familiar...almost as if it's about South Florida...

The Empire State Building!

The Chrysler Building!

The Reading Room in the New York Public Library (1 yard short of being as large as an American football field!), as seen in many famous movies...

Spamalot! We're huge Monty Pyton fans, and wanted to see it when we first heard about it.

As it was, we didn't see Tim Curry perform (he left a couple of months ago), but we did see Hank Azaria and David Hyde Pierce's final performance! Really funny, don't miss it! It was almost worth the trip up for this show alone!

Ooooh....LOST references!

Times Square!

St. Patrick's Cathedral!

Inside St. Patricks!

...and the final shot of the night...Radio City, all lit up!

Who else would whet your appetite with this?

What I'm looking forward to in 2006

Now that 2006 is here, I'm going have my expectations set. This is what I expect the year to provide for me. Yes, I'm demanding and unrealistic in this regard. ;)

MOVIES

There are many movies coming up in 2006 that I'm eagerly anticipating (in no particular order):

• Miami Vice - I really enjoyed the series, and can't wait to see what they do with it on the big screen. It's also being done by the series' original creator...Michael Mann. I've seen the trailer, and I'm pumped.
• Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - Loved the first movie, can't wait to see the second and the third. Johnny Depp stopped the box office curse for pirate movies, and he's going to do it again.
• X-Men 3 - I'm iffy on this one...I like the franchise overall. I'm not a comic book person, but it's been hugely enteraining overall. However, the key creative elements behind the first two movies moved onto other projects...so...we'll have to keep our claws..er..fingers crossed.
• Superman Returns - Lots of debates with the wife over this one. This movie looks fantastic. It's going be fantastic. And it's STILL going to have Marlon Brando as Superman's father. Just wait. Huge hit.
• V for Vendetta - Natalie Portman's new venture. I'm hoping she can act better...finally...because I believe she has incredible talent...just has had horrible directors.
• Ice Age 2: The Meltdown - Great first one, cool trailer for second one...this will be good for the entire family.
• Mission: Impossible: III - Yes, the title is correct. This time, J.J. Abrams (of 'Lost' fame) writes/directs. I think he can bring some real potential to this franchise. Wait and see!
• The Da Vinci Code - Never read the book, but the recent trailer made me want to do so, and I will, before I see this movie. I'll be a band-wagoner on this one. Tom Hanks will nail it.
• Cars - Pixar's next. 'nuff said.

No Harry Potter for 2006, sadly...it's slated to be released in 2007.

TV

• 24 -Jack's back! After doing the Bruce Banner walk (minus sad piano music) at the end of last season, he's back to stab some more terrorists in the thigh. I'm sure he'll dig up Marwan if he needs to.

• Lost - We're midway into the current season, and it's been as good as the first. Keep it going, J.J.!

• Battlestar Galactica - Also at the halfway point for it's season, this is probably one of the best shows on TV right now. Everything about it just clicks.

HURRICANES

• I'm not looking foward to any.

PEOPLE/PLACES

• David Gilmour in concert at Radio City Music Hall in April - Got my tickets! Woohoo!
• Europe - Our long planned family vacation to Europe will hopefully become a reality this year!

That's about it for now. In terms of resolutions...cleaning my home office. Gotta get that done.

I think I'll finish in December.

Tempting fate...heh heh heh

My last ticket lost...but I just know this one will win...

I wonder what my life will be like afterwards...

Fun with Lost (non-spoiler)

It's...*drum roll*...the SAWYER SONG!

So where the hell have I been?

Some of you may not have seen me on Xbox Live lately, and I apologize. I've been sick this week, and just haven't been up to playing. Also, with the new TV season starting, and some DVD box sets, I've had some catching up to do.

So...what am I watching?

Lost
(9pm on Wednesdays on ABC)

I've been an addict since it debuted last year. I bought the Season 1 box set to pour over the show in more detail than I could when it aired on TV, and I've been picking lots of things up from re-watching the DVDs. There's a reason why this show won Best Drama. It's great. Watch it. This season is going as strong as last.

Battlestar Galactica
(10pm on Fridays on Sci-Fi)

Love this...the production value and writing is incredible on this show. I missed the original mini-series, but since the box-set of Season 1 was just re-released with the mini-series, I picked it up and have been catching the parts that I missed. No new episodes until January, tho.

Survivor
(8pm on Thursdays on CBS)

Not many people know this, but I did apply to appear back in Season 3 of the show. No, I didn't get to try out. Go figure. Love the show.

P.S. The tribe I'm rooting for is pictured above. Go Stephanie!

The Amazing Race
(9pm on Tuesdays on CBS)

I just watched the season premiere. I'm not too hot on the family angle...but I am pulling for the family with the little boy and girl. That family seems to be really tight, and understands what needs to happen, and the kids are great.

Mythbusters
(9pm on Wednesdays on Discovery Channel)

No new episodes right now...but fun to watch in re-runs.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
(11pm Monday-Thursday on Comedy Central)

Do I really need to say why this show is incredible? No. Watch it. And read the book.

NOTE: The Colbert Report will be debuting in October! Awesome!

Stargate SG1
Stargate Atlantis
8pm and 9pm (respectively) on Fridays on Sci-Fi

These, like Battlestar, are in re-runs until January. I'm not as attached to them as others...but still a fun show to pass time with.

That's what I've been doing while I've been sick. Upper respiratory/asthma-type thing. Not pretty, lots of hacking up stuff.

I'll be back. I promise.

TV schedule de jour

Let's see, I re-watched the Lost season finale earlier (premiere is next week!), spoke to my sister for a bit, spent a little over an hour with my father (just before midnight-just after 1am) who's doing well (fighting mild nausea and occassional pain), watched Mythbusters, the end to the Arizona-Milwaukee baseball game (Arizona won in the 12th), two episodes of Cops, and now Magnum PI.

I ate a sub for 'breakfast' when I got here at 9pm, and just ate my lunch (another sub...Subway had 'em at 2 for $9). I think, however, I will get some rest now. *yawn* I really hope my father is in a private room tomorrow...

Take the quiz: "Which LOST character are you?"

Charlie
You are Charlie You are an ex-rocker trying to kick a drug habit. While on the island you have met a very nice girl Claire.

NOTE: I do not agree with this assessment. I should have been Locke. Owel. BTW, ignore the spelling errors that are riddled throughout the quiz.
