Language differences

Here in the U.S., we say 'Appetizers'. In the U.K. they're known as 'Starters'. Okay...not much difference there...but what about a Thai restaurant in the U.S. when it comes to the main course?
So the dish below became my entry into one of their 'entries'. Again, asked for it to be 'Native Thai' hot...
Well, you CAN see the spices in the food. But it still only registered as a 5 out of 10 on my scale.
